Calvados is a French apple brandy from Normandy. Combined with the maple syrup we brought home from our last trip to Maine, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, we ended up with up a cocktail that had us longing for Fall – and pancakes!
- 1½ oz calvados (or apple brandy)
- 1 oz. maple syrup (grade A)
- ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
- ice cubes
- green apple slices
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the calvados, maple syrup, lemon juice and ice and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into glass filled with ice and add the green apple slices as a garnish.
