I originally saw this made with peaches but the apricots were looking better at the market. I find the color of apricots to be one of my favorites and they look great for photos.
Making this is simple, just cut up some apricots or peaches and put them in a small glass of Chianti with a little bit of cinnamon. I used jars that were for preserves. Let it set for an hour or so and the fruit will absorb the wine. Doing this with a white wine is good too and I enjoy this because I can play around with different kinds of fruit and wine combinations.
