Calvados is a French apple brandy from Normandy. Combined with the maple syrup we brought home from our last trip to Maine, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, we ended up with up a cocktail that had us longing for Fall – and pancakes!
In a cocktail shaker, combine the calvados, maple syrup, lemon juice and ice and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into glass filled with ice and add the green apple slices as a garnish.
Notes
If you have a mandolin slicer you can make these cute cross-section slices that show off the star shaped apple core. Also, don’t throw away your apple garnish after you finish your drink – it’s delicious after having been soaking in the cocktail.
